The Brio offers a 4K sensor and copes better with backlight and mixed light than cheaper cameras. Most call apps do not send 4K, so you pay for it mainly in a sharper, cleaner 1080p. It makes sense if you present to clients or record video.
In three steps
- 01Use a USB 3 port.
- 02Set the resolution in your app, many default to 720p.
- 03Run the free webcam test to confirm what you actually get.
What works
- + Sharp sensor
- + Handles backlight better
- + Windows Hello sign-in
What doesn’t
- – Costs more than most people need
- – 4K needs a USB 3 port
